WESTMINSTER, Colo. (Feb. 4, 2010) – Dana TePoel, owner of Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck, has earned special recognition from the Metro North Chamber of Chamber of Commerce for the second straight year.

TePoel, who won the Chamber’s Small Business Person of the Year last year, received distinction at the Chamber’s recent Annual Gala 2010 as winner of the “Fred Factor” award, based on his ability to build relationships, re-invent himself regularly, create value for others, make a difference and “transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.”

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (Jan. 5, 2010) – Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck has witnessed an increase in cold-temperature-related car problems in recent days, and the Westminster-based repair-and-maintenance shop encourages car owners to be mindful of the Five Ways to Beat the Winter.

No. 1, Allow a brief amount of warm-up time.

Today’s vehicles don’t require much warm-up, but you will find that an extra 30 seconds will allow your vehicle to perform better, mostly because the fluids in your car have an optimal operating temperature (and it isn’t 5-below zero). For example, you will find your power steering doesn’t really kick in until the power steering fluid warms up and sheds its increased viscosity. Caveat: Unattended warm-up or “puffing” is illegal in most Colorado cities due to the vulnerability to car theft.

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (Feb. 9, 2009) – Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck’s owner, Dana TePoel, has received the Metro North Chamber of Commerce’s “Small Business Person of the Year 2008” award.

The Chamber announced the award at its Annual Gala & Silent Auction recently in appreciation of TePoel’s “entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding support of the Metro North Chamber of Commerce and its members.”

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (March 6, 2008) – Lake Arbor Automotive and Truck announced today that they will top Alpine Waste & Disposal’s bid for the authenticated baseball that Barry Bonds hit in Denver for the 762nd home run of his career.

Lake Arbor Auto is offering $10,000 for the home run ball that Bonds hit Sept. 5, 2007 at Coors Field and that now stands as the all-time career home run record.

Lake Arbor Auto has served customers in Westminster and the Denver area for more than 15 years, and owner Dana TePoel said he wants the historic baseball to stay in Denver.
