Westminster repair shop will ‘staff up’ to handle more work bays
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (March 29, 2016) – The auto repair shop that “Does the Right Thing Every Time” has decided the next right thing is to expand its facility to accommodate more customers in the most efficient manner.
The quarter-million dollar project will add three repair bays, giving the award-winning shop a total of 13 bays to increase the shop’s operational capacity by 30 percent. Accordingly, Lake Arbor Auto will also hire three or four additional workers, including technicians and office personnel. Lake Arbor Auto is already interviewing candidates. The expansion is due for completion before the end of June.
“As word has spread about our technicians’ expertise and about the way we take care of customers, business has increased steadily over the years,” said Dana TePoel, owner of Lake Arbor Auto. “When we moved into this great location in 2006, we figured it would be plenty of room for about 10 years. As expected, things have gotten pretty tight lately, and it became clear that we had to expand if we wanted to address our customers’ needs in a way that met their schedules.”
Relying upon a “Do the Right Thing” business philosophy, Lake Arbor Auto has increased its sales every year during that 10-year period, and Lake Arbor Auto was recently listed in the ColoradoBiz Magazine’s Top 250 Private Companies.
The addition of the three work bays will not affect the building’s total area, which is 9,400 square feet. Instead, the new bays will push into space previously set aside for offices.
“The timing is such that we should also begin to take advantage of all the new activity that will soon come online at the Westminster Downtown area across Harlan Street,” TePoel said.
