Water Pump Replacement
The crux of your vehicle’s cooling system is the water pump, which transfers coolant from the radiator to the engine to keep your vehicle from overheating. These pumps often give out as a vehicle reaches around 100,000 miles, as bearings begin to fail and the water pump front seal begins to leak. To alert you to potential problems, water pumps have “weep holes” that allow coolant to escape when the front seal begins to seep. It’s an early indicator that you need to take some action.
The ASE certified mechanics at Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck can replace your water pump and help prevent your vehicle from overheating and breaking down.
We may also be able to help extend the life of your water pump through regular maintenance. But ultimately, all water pumps reach their limit, and will need to be replaced.
