WESTMINSTER, Colo. (July 13, 2010) – Dana TePoel, owner of HYPERLINK “http://www.lakearborauto.com” Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Automotive Service Association of Colorado, where he will serve as Secretary/Treasurer.
HYPERLINK “http://www.asacolorado.org” ASA-Colorado is a non-profit trade association serving independent automotive service professionals, and it advances professionalism and excellence in the auto repair industry through education, representation and member services.
TePoel’s new role with ASA-Colorado is an extension of his ongoing community involvement, which has garnered numerous awards for him and Lake Arbor Auto.
“ASA-Colorado has benefitted the community in numerous ways over the years, and I believe I can contribute to that track record,” TePoel said.
ASA-Colorado Chairperson Mark Gurnsey said TePoel’s focus on ethical behavior and ability to improve his repair facility during a slow economy influenced ASA-Colorado’s decision to nominate him for the board.
“We are glad to have Dana working with us, and we look forward to his help in continuing to raise the standard and reputation of the automotive repair industry,” said Gurnsey.
Already this year, TePoel has won the “Fred Factor Award” from the HYPERLINK “http://www.metronorthchamber.com/” Metro North Chamber of Commerce, plus the “Champion of Free Enterprise” award from HYPERLINK “http://www.salesprofessionals-usa.com” Sales Professionals International. He was named Small Business Person of the Year by the MNCC in 2008.
